Rules & Logistics

• Eligibility: Open to all Calvin University students. Whether you are a CS pro or a Business major with a vision, we want you here!

• Team Formation: Teams can consist of 1–4 members. If you don't have a team yet, don't worry—we will host a dedicated team-matching session at 6:30 PM on Friday.

• AI Assistance: Participants are encouraged to use AI tools (e.g., Gemini, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to assist with brainstorming, debugging, or generating boilerplate code. However, the core concept and final integration must be the original work of the team.

• Fresh Code: To keep the playing field level, all project coding must start after the kickoff at 3:30 PM on Friday. Using pre-existing personal libraries is fine, but building a 90% finished project beforehand is not permitted.

• What to Bring: * Laptop and charger (essential!)

  • Student ID for check-in.

  • Sleeping bag and toiletries (if you plan to stay overnight in the Business Building).

  • Your most ambitious ideas and a collaborative spirit.

• Food & Fuel: We’ve got you covered. Coffee and snacks will be available around the clock!
